Curious Jane is powered by a community of educators, makers, artists, and creative thinkers who believe girls deserve spaces where they can be curious, confident, and completely themselves.

From camp directors and curriculum developers to instructors and counselors, our team brings big ideas, big-sister energy, and plenty of enthusiasm to everything we do.

We’re the kind of people who can teach you how to sew a felt creature, build a robot, make a board game, or dream up something entirely new — and cheer you on while you do it.

samantha razook

Every great project starts with a spark of imagination.

For Samantha, that spark became Curious Jane. In 2009, she set out to create the kind of place she wanted for her girls—and all girls—a place where creativity could run wild, ideas could take shape, and confidence was built through making.

A designer by training and maker at heart, Samantha earned her BA in Graphic Design from Yale and her Master’s in Industrial Design from Pratt. She brought together her love of design, experimentation, and hands-on learning to build Curious Jane into a creative community where girls can create, discover, and thrive.

Today, she leads the creative vision for Curious Jane, dreams up new projects and programs, and serves as a mentor, guide, and cheerleader for the incredible women in the Curious Jane universe.

chloe schneider

As an OG Curious Jane camper, Chloe spent her summers cutting, gluing, building, inventing, and learning from creative women who encouraged her to try it all. Now, she’s helping bring that same experience to the next generation of curious girls.

With a background in brand and social media strategy, arts education, and working with kids, Chloe brings her love of creative problem-solving and hands-on learning to everything she does. She believes creativity is one of the most powerful ways to build confidence, connection, and curiosity.

Today, Chloe works at Curious Jane HQ, shaping the brand’s strategy and voice, dreaming up new projects and programs, and finding creative ways to bring the CJ mission to life. Having grown up in the CJ community herself, she’s passionate about helping the next generation of girls experiment, take creative risks, and discover just how much they’re capable of making.

A growing social impact

Chase recognizes Curious Jane’s growing social impact with a $250K award, helping support the company’s continued growth and its mission to reach more young makers.

2015

Creativity goes to print

The in-print, completely ad-free maker magazine launches, bringing Curious Jane’s colorful projects, DIY ideas, and creative inspiration beyond camp and into homes.
