how it works

Curious Jane Camp is a full-day, full-week program. Each week, we offer a variety of project-based themes. CJ favorites include Kitchen Chemistry, Spy Science, Room Makeover, Miniature World, Spa Science, Fab Lab, Invent It, and more!

Campers register on a weekly basis, and sign up for their favorite *theme* each week. Class size ranges from 8 to 14 girls, and the camp week is focused on making and experimenting – all revolving around their theme.

The classroom setting is energetic and creative. Girls spend much of the day working on their projects. They also go outside for open play, and have group camp activities each afternoon.

who it’s for

Curious Jane Camp is for girls entering K-1st, 2nd-3rd and 4th-6th grades. We offer a CIT Studio program for girls entering 7th-9th grades.Β

We couldn`t stop making this magic nail polish paper! 🫧 Black cards dipped into a shallow dish of water, dotted with clear polish.

The Science Behind It... πŸ§ͺ
The rainbow magic happens via a process called thin film interference - the same process that creates rainbows in oily puddles on the street or in soap bubbles!

When light hits the film, some of it reflects off the outer boundary, while some of the light travels into the film and bounces off the bottom boundary. As a result, the light waves are all on different tracks and interfere with each other, causing us to see different colors!
