maker checklist

  • colorful oven-bake clay
  • rolling pin
  • parchment paper
  • baking tray
  • clay glaze (optional)

knead your clay to soften it, working with a few small pieces at a time. use a sheet of parchment paper to protect your surface.

spread a layer of sauce by rolling out a ball of red clay about the size of a ping pong ball. then, add bits of yellow and white clay to create a cheesy surface.

form the crust by shaping your clay into a thick rope that is long enough to circle the pizza base. wrap the crust around the sauce and pinch them together with your fingers.

add a tic-tac-toe grid using thin snakes of clay and press these into the cheese to attach.

make your toppings! choose two favorite toppings that are contrasting colors and easy to replicate. these are your sets of X’s and O’s so make five of each shape.

make sure your toppings will fit in your pizza tic-tac-toe grid.

bake according to package directions and seal with Sculpey sealant (optional). ready to play!

the tiny toppings will bake faster than the pizza. watch carefully to make sure your toppings don’t char.
