- colorful stiff felt
- good scissors
- sheets of cardstock (for templates)
- ruler and pencil
- length of ribbon (for stringing)
- printer (for letters, optional)
instructions

measure and cut a triangle from cardstock to create your template. make two! one slightly larger than the other.

trace the triangles onto stiff felt sheets, cut and layer. curate your colors for the look you’re going for.

draw or print letters to add a word to your banner. make templates first, and trace these onto bits of felt. cut and place on your banner.
tip!
make the most of your craft supplies! always be economical with your materials – here, that means cutting letters or designs from the edges of the felt, not the center.

glue your designs in place with felt glue or school glue. get creative! add more designs in felt or other colorful, crafty bits!
tip!
make it double-sided! decorate both sides of the triangle so you have a reversible banner. fun in both directions.

cut a small slit in the top corners of each of the flags. thread a length of ribbon through, to finish you banner.
hang on a dowel to display!
