eggs… that bounce? yes! you heard right. take this super cool, super science-y experiment to observe an egg shell disappear and find a bouncy oval in it’s place!

- an egg
- a glass jar with lid
- distilled vinegar
instructions

place your egg in the jar very carefully. (laying the jar on its side or using a spoon helps!)

fill the jar with vinegar and screw the lid on tightly.

let sit for about five days and watch the shell disappear!
what's happening?
vinegar contains acetic acid. this acid reacts with the high calcium content of the eggshell and dissolves it!
