these lotion bars are both adorable and practical! keep your skin moisturized diy style!

maker checklist

  • silicon molds, fun mini shapes
  • craft stick
  • double boiler or microwave
  • 2 tbs Beeswax
  • 1 tbs shea or cocoa butter
  • 1 tbs coconut oil
  • essential oil for scent
  • rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle
  • skin-safe glitter

instructions

melt the beeswax, in a microwave or a double boiler. mix in the shea butter (or cocoa butter) and coconut oil while it is hot.

add a couple drops of essential oils for scent. mmmmm!

spray the mold with rubbing alcohol. this will prevent air bubbles from forming. we used silicone mold ice trays with fun shapes! like the alien-inspired ones and the pineapples, palm trees and cacti.

pour your lotion mixture into the mold.

sprinkle with skin-safe glitter. (optional)

pop the molds in the fridge to cool. then pop the mini lotion bars out to use.

enjoy your lotion bars: use on the body but avoid the face! store in the fridge 🙂
