hands-on project

Let's make it.

01

lay the shirt flat, and draw a neat rectangle (using chalk and a ruler, or cardboard template) around the largest part of the

the bigger the better! a larger tee gives you more fabric to work with.

02

cut out the rectangle, including the front and back of the shirt, so that you have two pieces exactly the same size.

03

draw another rectangle, about 1 ½ to 2 inches from the edges of your cut piece. do this in white chalk too, so you can brush the lines away.

04

lay your t-shirt rectangles, stacked neatly, on a flat surface.Verb and the rest of your content goes here. Edit or remove this text inline or in the module Content settings. You can also style every aspect of this content in the module.

05

cut out each corner, from outer to inner rectangle.

06

cut strips, 1/2-in wide, around all sides. make sure to cut through both layers. keep the fabric neatly in place as you go.

07

tie each pair of strips together with a double-knot, starting at one corner and making your way around all sides of the pillow. stop when you are half-way through with the fourth side. it’s time to stuff!

08

stuff your pillow with poly-fil or a small pillow insert.

09

tie-off the last section to complete your pillow.
