instructions

construct a model for your cotton candy stand out of cardboard before creating the final design. a cardboard prototype is often referred to as a breadboard model. they are a key part of the process for designers!

construct your cotton candy stand by using the materials you have at hand. be creative and inventive!

we used a frame of 4 wooden dowels and 3 rectangles of foam core (you can also use cardboard). we slid the dowels through jumbo paper straws and into wooden stools for the base. we covered the bottom, table-top and roof with colorful paper.

we added a fabric trim at the top. and we made cotton candy out of sculpey clay, wrapped in cellophane and tied with a ribbon. we used ballhead pins to pin these to the foam core roof and shelf.
